Presentation :

Frontal view of women in front of a fountain. The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
Two women and two girls come to the fountain to fill amphorae. Water flows from the mouth of a sculpted female bust, decorated with a cornucopia. While waiting for their mother, two kneeling boys play jacks. A zoomorphic rattle lies on the ground.
The drawing was produced for the Arles exhibition in 2006.
