Aerial view of the temple of Sety I at Gournah (West Thebes). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The temple stands in the center of the drawing, at the foot of a mountain. It is set within a vast fortified enclosure. A first pylon opens onto a first courtyard, then a second pylon and finally a second courtyard. A portico serves the building’s various rooms. It is flanked on the left by secondary buildings, sanctuary stores and warehouses, and a sacred lake.
