Ecorché view of the Ramesseum at West Thebes. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Numbers are visible on the drawing and refer to a legend, which is absent. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
Access to the temple is via a first, low enclosure, pierced by a door, visible on the left of the drawing (6-7). This opens onto a courtyard and a first pylon. It is flanked by the royal palace, visible in the upper part of the drawing. A second courtyard lined with columns leads to a portico serving the covered rooms of the sanctuary. On either side of the temple are the buildings reserved for the priests and the stores. The enclosure also contains a sacred lake.
