Aerial view of a funeral scene in Thebes (Luxor). The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The drawing depicts a funeral procession to the tomb of the deceased. The deceased is placed at the entrance of the tomb, in a sarcophagus. On the left, women lament. In front of him, assistants prepare to sacrifice a bull. Behind them, the procession is made up of family members. They bring with them a piece of the funeral trousseau.
