Aerial view of Vienna. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The city is organized on either side of the Rhône. An enclosed space can be seen in the lower part of the drawing. This is the Palais du Miroir complex. The two banks are linked by two stone bridges. The rest of the city and its dwellings are sheltered by a wide wall, fortified by several towers. You can see the forum with its rectangular courtyard, temple and basilica. The theater and odeon are located to the rear. On the right-hand side of the drawing, outside the city, you can see the harbor and its boats. Warehouses line the quays. The circus stands behind them.
