Aerial view of Urbs Salvia (Urbisaglia). The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The town is located on a plateau. It developed within a fortified enclosure, punctuated by towers and pierced by gates. The forum stands at the intersection of the cardo (north-south axis) and the decumanus (east-west axis). A vast courtyard bordered by a portico houses the temple on one side and the basilica opposite. The city features a theater, flanked by a courtyard surrounded by a portico. A temple was erected on the city’s heights. The amphitheater stands outside the city, not far from a gate. Agricultural fields grew up all around.
