Aerial view of the Ur Ziggurat. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The building is built of brick, within a fortified, stepped enclosure. Quadrangular in shape, it is composed of three terraced storeys. A temple stands at the top. The building is entered via three flights of steps leading up to a monumental gate. A procession moves towards the building.
