Aerial view of Tipasa. The drawing is in portrait format, organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The town is located on the Mediterranean coast. The Basilica of Santa Salsa stands in the foreground. The building is built on a basilica plan. Three naves lead to a semicircular apse. The necropolis is arranged around it. The sarcophagi are set out on the ground, some grouped together in small enclosures. The town can be seen in the distance. It is enclosed by a wall punctuated by towers and pierced by gates. The Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul stands close to the wall. The city has a port, lined with warehouses. Among the residential buildings are the theater and amphitheater. The Atlas Mountains can be seen in the distance.
