Aerial and panoramic view of the Villa Hadriana, looking south-east at Tibur (Tivoli). The drawing is in landscape format. It is arranged within a frame drawn in ink. A sketch and inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The palace consists of several buildings, set amidst a verdant landscape. On the left, a theater and baths can be seen in the distance. In the left foreground stands the poecile with its pool and two rotundas. It is flanked by the circular maritime theater, a stadium and thermal baths. A little further to the right, the vestibule, baths and canope can be seen. The academy stands at the far end of the property, on the right-hand side of the drawing. The palace develops in the background, in the center of the drawing. Hills can be seen in the distance. Tivoli is shown on the left.
