Aerial view of eastern Thebes (Luxor) under Ramses II. The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
Thebes developed on the banks of the Nile, visible on the left of the drawing. In the lower section, the Temple of Luxor can be seen, linked to the Temple of Mut by a long sphinx dromos. The upper section features the Temple of Amun-Re, preceded by its landing stage, and the Temple of Montou.
