Flayed view of the tomb of Ramses III at Thebes (Louqsor). The drawing is in landscape format. It is arranged within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The drawing shows the tomb being excavated. Workers are clearing away the various pieces, while others are removing the spoil. The entrance to the tomb is on the left. A long staircase leads to a succession of corridors that lead to an antechamber, vestibules and finally to the burial chamber and annexes.
