Presentation :

Flayed view of the Temple of Amun at Thebes (Luxor). The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins.
The temple is set within a fortified brick enclosure. A pylon, flanked by two obelisks, opens onto a first courtyard with porticoes. This courtyard is linked to a second porticoed courtyard by a high rectangular room with two rows of columns. The second courtyard leads to a hypostyle hall and the sanctuary. On either side of the temple are the temple storehouses, the priests’ dwellings and the sacred lake.
