Presentation :

Front view of the Great Colonnade, during the Opet Festival at Thebes (Luxor). The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins where the drawing continues.
The sacred bark, with the naos containing the statue of the god Amun-Re, leaves the temple. Some priests support the sacred bark as it leaves the temple, while others wave fans. The procession takes place in the doorway of the temple’s great colonnade. This room is richly decorated with murals.
