Overhead view of the gateway to the Opet temple and the healing statue at Karnak temple in Thebes (Luxor). The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions also appear on the reverse.
A monumental, ornate gateway pierces a fortified brick wall. It is flanked on the left by a healing statue. Men, particularly the handicapped, come to benefit from its healing virtues. Basins for ablutions.
