Presentation :

Aerial view of the house of Lord Julius in Carthago (Carthage). The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The building is preceded by a garden. It has two storeys, framed by two square towers. The first floor is blind, with a single entrance door. A colonnaded gallery runs along the upper floor. At the rear of the building, four domes probably represent the private thermal baths.
The design was inspired by the mosaic in the Bardo National Museum in Tunis.
