Aerial view of the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, known as the Christian Tomb near Cherchell. The drawing is in portrait format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
Located not far from the Mediterranean Sea, the royal tomb consists of a circular base adorned with engaged Ionic columns, topped by a stepped conical structure. The whole is crowned by a sculpted group representing the sovereign on his chariot. The entrance is through a concealed door.
