Aerial view of Tanis. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The town lies to the northeast of the Nile delta, visible in the background. Amid the dwellings stands a vast temple dedicated to Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Two other temples appear on the right of the drawing.
