Front view of the statue of Julius Caesar. The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins.
It is a three-quarter view of a marble statue of Julius Caesar. Caesar is shown full-length, wearing military garb consisting of a segmented cuirass and the paludamentum, attached with a fibula. The gesture of his left hand shows that he is addressing an assembly.
The drawing is based on the statue of Julius Caesar in the Capitoline in Rome.
