The villa is set on the Mediterranean coast. To the left, in the foreground, are the imperial guard stables and barracks. Below, in the background, the villa is arranged in front of several basins. A grotto and a triclinium line the cliff face. The basins are protected by a jetty. A quay provides mooring for boats.
