Aerial view of the Siwa oasis. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
In the foreground, the temple of Oumm Oubayda can be seen inside a brick enclosure. A long processional alley leads through a vast palm grove to the village, where a rocky outcrop stands, housing the temple of the oracle and the governor’s palace with its barracks and harem.
