Front view of the Simithu mausoleum (Chemtou). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The mausoleum stands in the center of a courtyard, lined with porticoes. It consists of a three-tiered base and two elevated levels. The first is pierced by a monumental doorway and adorned with engaged Corinthian pilasters and bas-reliefs (medallions). The second opens onto the exterior via a loggia with Doric columns.
