Aerial view of a ship carrying an obelisk. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in graphite on its upper edge. A sketch of a building and inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The ship travels through the water in the company of two smaller boats. The main deck is occupied by the obelisk, lying lengthwise. It is held in place by a system of cables. The deck is equipped with ballast traps. The bow is decorated. The stern is equipped with three steering scoops.
All three sails are keeled. Two levels of oars (biremes) enable the ship to move forward.
