Presentation :

Aerial view of the Bouchauds theater in Sermanicomagus (Saint-Cybardeaux). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame traced in ink along the lateral edges. Elements of the drawing have been glued onto paper. Traces of watercolor and graphite are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The theater is illustrated in the foreground during a performance (spectators in the stands, actors on stage). It is located below the sanctuary. The sanctuary is composed of two parts. The first features five buildings, including an octagonal temple and a rectangular temple, while the second houses two small square temples. The city is shown in the upper left-hand section of the drawing.
