Aerial view of the Hathor temple at Sekhabit el Qadim. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The temple is set inside a stone enclosure featuring stelae and a chapel. Access to the temple is via a series of fourteen passages, rooms or courtyards that lead to a vast rectangular open-air courtyard. The sanctuary then splits in two to accommodate the cult of the goddess Hathor and that of the god Ptah.
