Aerial view of the Ouadji mastaba at Saqqara. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins.
The mastaba stands on a rocky plateau. Rectangular in plan, it comprises several enclosures and a huge stepped façade. Bulls’ skulls are placed at the foot of the façade, evoking the number of animals sacrificed at the time of the funeral.
