Aerial view of the Pepi II sector at Saqqara South. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
Several funerary complexes are depicted on the Saqqara plateau, on the banks of the Nile. On the right, in the foreground, in the valley, a large landing stage leads to the reception temple. The funerary temple and the pyramid of Pepi II are reached via an ascending causeway. Surrounding it are the three satellite pyramids of his queens. The complex is flanked by the Faraoun mastaba of the ruler Chepseskaf. The rectangular edifice is linked to the valley by an ascending causeway. A small pyramid, the Ibi Pyramid, stands between the two. The Khendjer pyramid and another mastaba can be seen in the distance on the left.
