Aerial view of Samarobriva Ambianorum (Amiens). The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The town is located on the left bank of the Somme River. Several bridges cross the river. Commercial activities are concentrated along the riverbank, where several boats are moored. The forum was built in the middle of the residential area. It comprises two rectangular courtyards lined with porticoes. A temple was built in one of them.
The city’s amphitheatre adjoins the forum. Green countryside stretches as far as the eye can see.
