Presentation :

Aerial view of the large warehouses (horrea) at Saint-Romain-en-Gal. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The city’s warehouses are located on the left-hand side of the drawing. They are set around a central courtyard and rise to two levels. They are flanked, in the lower part of the drawing, by the House of the Ocean Gods, of which only the garden is visible. On the right, along the cobblestone road, carts filled with merchandise circulate. A fulling workshop is visible. Treaders in tubs.
