Front view of the summer triclinium in the House of the Ocean Gods at Saint-Romain-en-Gal. The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins.
The summer triclinium stands at the center of a peristyle, bordered by a canal and a colonnaded portico. Birdcages adorn the space. The triclinium is covered by an arbour resting on columns with Doric capitals. The benches are arranged in a U-shape around a small pool. Several women are seated and served by two servants.
