Aerial view of the center of Sabratha and the Antonine temples in the 3rd century. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The drawing depicts the forum district. Two temples stand in the foreground, the Temple of the Divine Antoninus with the Fountain of Flavius Tullus, on the right, and the South Temple of the Forum, on the left. A little higher up is a building with three naves and two apses, the Basilica of Apuleius. It stands on the southern flank of the forum. It consists of a courtyard lined with a colonnaded portico, inside which are the temple of Liber Pater, on the right, and the temple of the Capitol, on the left. The curia and temple of Serapis are located on the northern arm of the forum. In the background are the commercial districts and the port.
