Front view of the triclinium in the Prima Porta villa in Rome. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. The furniture and outlines of the drawing are cut from a sheet of paper and pasted onto a color photocopy. A first print of the furniture is visible on the reverse side.
The room is furnished with banquettes, armchairs and tables at which serving dishes are placed. The walls of the room are covered with murals. A lush trompe-l’œil garden is set behind a parapet. It is populated by birds and cages.
