Aerial view of part of Domitian’s stadium in Rome. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins.
The building is set into the urban fabric. The athletes’ arena is surrounded by two tiers of bleachers for spectators, and the imperial box. The facade of the building is composed of two levels of galleries with semicircular arches. In the upper left-hand corner, you can see the odeon erected by Domitian.
