Aerial view of the Baths of Agrippa, the Pantheon and the Saepta Iulia in Rome. The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and ink strokes are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
In the foreground, on the left, are Agrippa’s baths overlooking the great basin (stagnum Agrippa) with the palestra where men play sports. On the right are the large porticoes and gardens of Saepta Iulia. On the left, in the background, beyond the palestra of the thermal baths, the rectangular building corresponds to the Basilica of Neptune, and on the other side of the courtyard we see the first state of the Pantheon of Rome built by Agrippa.
