Front view of the Colossus of Rhodos (Rhodes). The drawing is in portrait format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The colossus stands on the square, crenellated towers of the harbor channel. He is depicted in bronze, front-on, naked, with his legs spread wide. In his left hand, he holds a spear and drapery, while in his right, he raises a torch. His face is crowned with rays.
