Presentation :

Frontal view showing the Djed Khonsou Ef Ankh judgment, the weighing of the deceased’s heart. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink and graphite. A painted photocopy and another photocopied sheet, representing the same drawing, were taped to the drawing’s framing sheet.
The scene can be read from right to left. Anubis, the funerary god with the profile of a black canine, is weighing the soul of a deceased person, shown kneeling under the flail and above the sign of gold. In the tray on the right is his heart. This must be as light as the feather of Mâat, goddess of truth, represented on the left-hand pan. The lunar god Thoth, in the form of a baboon, sits atop the scales. On the left, the deceased is shown standing, holding leaves in his hands as a sign of resurrection and joy.
