Aerial view of the Palace of Columns at Ptolemais. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins.
The palace is divided into two areas: private apartments and public spaces. The former are on the left-hand side of the drawing. The building is entered through a monumental portal on the street. The private apartments are arranged around a peristyle. The public buildings are on the right-hand side of the drawing. They include an oecus Aegyptiacus (Egyptian hall), a salon and baths.
