Presentation :

Aerial view of the Stabies thermal baths in Pompeii. The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The baths are divided into three areas: the men’s baths, the women’s baths and the palestra. Each bath has a changing room, a frigidarium, a tepidarium and a caldarium. On the right-hand side of the drawing are the men’s baths. The men’s entrance is from the street, visible in the lower part of the drawing. The women’s baths are located in the upper part of the drawing. A trapezoidal palestra is located in the center. It is completed by a mural-painted swimming pool.
