Presentation :

Aerial view of Philae. The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame.
An island is shown in the center of the drawing, in the middle of a lake. Several buildings can be seen. The site is dominated by a temple dedicated to Isis. A road lined with porticoes leads to a pylon that gives access to a courtyard with porticoes, occupied to the west by a mammisi. A second pylon leads to the sanctuary. The building is flanked on its left, to the east, by the Temple of Hathor and the Kiosk of Trajan. To the north are a monumental arch and a chapel dedicated to Augustus.
