Presentation :

Aerial view of Pelusium (Tell el-Farama). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The city is located at the northeastern end of the Nile delta, at its mouth on the Mediterranean. The sea is in the lower part of the drawing. Agricultural fields grow up on the outskirts of the city, along the Nile and near a lake. The city is built on the banks of the Nile and on an island. It has a vast port. The forum, the theater, the baths and a slightly off-center circus were built among the settlements.
