Presentation :

Aerial view of the medieval Louvre and the Hôtel de Bourbon, during the reign of Charles V, in Paris. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink along the lateral edges. Inscriptions and traces of watercolor and graphite are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the verso.
On one side of the château, the Seine flows by, with a few boats in the water. The château is protected by an enclosure punctuated by towers. In front, a moat fed by the river has been dug. It can be crossed by a drawbridge. The fortress, in the center of the drawing, has a square plan with a central keep.
