Presentation :

Aerial view of Paris in Merovingian times. The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The town is set in the middle of the countryside, crossed by the Seine River and its many boats. It is connected to a ruined aqueduct in the lower left. The town has an ancient theater on its outskirts. The town extends over the island and is linked on both sides by two bridges. Cultivated fields grow on the outskirts of the town. Forests are visible on both sides. In the background, the river continues in a loop.
