Aerial view of the Poppea villa in Oplontis, 1st century. The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and graphite are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
Entrance to the villa is via the vast garden, which is protected by a wall. It is bordered by two porticoes on either side. Access to the buildings is marked by an imposing entrance framed by porticoes. To the left of the drawing, a large pool is depicted.
