Front view of the interior of the Temple of Diana of Nemausus (Nîmes). The drawing is in portrait format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The cella is covered by a semicircular vault. It comprises several bays, delimited by columns with Corinthian capitals. Each bay contains closed shelves on which rotuli are arranged. In the foreground, a figure is reading a rotulus, unrolling it on a table. At the far end of the cella stands the altar and statue of the goddess, framed by four columns.
