Front view of the Nemausus fountain garden (Nîmes). The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
This is the Augusteum’s landscaped spring. In the foreground is a partially landscaped pool. It is populated by crocodiles. The sanctuary extends to the right of the drawing,
In the center, framed by four columns, we can make out the altar. Part of the U-shaped portico is visible in the background.
