Front view of the Capitol of Narbo Martius (Narbonne). The drawing is in landscape format. It is arranged within a frame drawn in ink. Two margins, bottom and right, are preserved. They contain traces of watercolor and inscriptions.
The Capitol stands inside a quadrangular courtyard, adorned with statues and bordered by a raised colonnaded portico. It is an octostyle temple. Its façade features eight columns with Corinthian capitals supporting a triangular pediment whose tympanum is adorned with bas-reliefs. Three sculpted acroteria crown the building.
