Presentation :

Aerial view of the Temple of Serapis at Mons Porphyrites. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in graphite, partially erased. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The temple is built, slightly elevated, on the side of a hill. It is preceded by an enclosure with a gate and a courtyard. The sanctuary is accessed via a portico. Figures stand in the courtyard, while others walk along the nearby dirt road.
