Presentation :

Aerial view of Medamoud temple. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The temple is dedicated to the warrior god Montou. Its entrance is marked by three kiosks and a pylon pierced through a fortified enclosure. This gives access to a vast porticoed courtyard leading to a covered hypostyle hall and the sanctuary. The latter rooms are flanked by two rectangular courtyards. At the rear of the building are a sacred lake and secondary buildings.
