Aerial view of Juba II’s palace at Lixus. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and graphite are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The palace is located on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by housing on three sides. It is built on terraces (the right-hand side is higher than the left). There are porticoed galleries on the upper floors, gardens and several courtyards.
