Iconic aerial map of the Nile Valley, from Philae to Abu-Simbel. The drawing is in portrait format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions are visible in the margins and on the reverse.
The landscape depicts a valley crossed by the Nile River. Several buildings have been erected along the Nile. In the foreground are the island of Elephantine and the island of Philae, dedicated to Isis. On the riverbank are the temple of Mandoulis at Kalabsha, the temple of Ramses II at Ouadi es-Seboua and the tombs of Ramses II and Nefertari at Abu-Simbel.
