Aerial view of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (Bodrum). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The mausoleum stands on the heights of the city. It is protected by an enclosure pierced by a propylaeum. It consists of a rectangular base surmounted by a colonnaded gallery and a stepped roof, topped by a sculpted quadriga. The building is adorned with colorful decorations in high relief and in the round. The port can be seen in the distance.
